Shalom dear sister Marcia and our friends from GladeRun Church!
Ebenezer (Thus far the LORD has helped us).
Romania is under great pressure created by the coronavirus and it has been declared a new state of “Maximum Alert”
We are wearing masks, gloves, documents to travel, keeping the social distance(minimum 2 metres) and places like the churches are still closed.
The government took these precautions to prevent another virus outbreak. The hospital from Romania are not ready at all for all the new patients.
Due to the outbreak from the elderly asylums, all the centers that take care of people with handicap(such as our farm) have been declared under complete lockdown.
Therefore “Farm of Hope” was obligated to be officially closed until further notice from any visitor from outside. The playground, the fields are all empty and closed until the 1st of September, if we have the state’s approval.
Police cars patrol daily to see if the laws are respected. The boys have not yet left the premises, but they continue to take care of the farm.
We spend more and more time with them: time of worship, praying, reading the Bible and movie nights. Everything looks rather sinister and deserted when there aren’t any children at the Farm of Hope.
Together with Lena, we tried to give them some food packages by leaving it at their doorstep.
Their tears and happiness from the other side of the fence touched our souls, but the longing grew more and more.
Having from “latin roots” is really hard for us not to hug each other.
We really really miss you and especially the children and the boys want to see you, but apparently this year we are not allowed to welcome anyone at “Farm of Hope”.
May our Lord and Heavenly Father bless you in special ways with spiritual and physical health.
We love you from the bottom of our hearts!
“14 Greet one another with a kiss of love.
Peace to all of you who are in Christ.” 1 Peter 5: 14 NIV
